*Testing this journal*
Big shout-out to vanilleass for coding this!

So the group is more or less very close to being finished up for now. We didn't have the best system and as you may have noticed, the previous year had been just accepting and showing off member submissions.

Besides updates on monthly animals and trying out things like news entries, we didn't have much of a direction.

First and foremost I'd like to apologize as the founder of AnimalAwareness for not having planned such a big group better. This was my first serious group and I did not anticipate this many members, so for all you guys who have stayed, this has been amazing, thank you :)

My goal with this group was to bring a common share of love for animals and need to preserve dying species together through art. But besides just being an art gallery, this was also to be somewhere where people could actively participate in events.

Over the past few months of hiatus, we as the administrators of AA have been working to make this group better.

Unfortunately, we've also individually been busy on our own.
So thank you for being patient, we'll work as quickly as possible to get this group up and running again and better than before!

Meanwhile, have a good one all :)

-Capu

Hello fellow Awareness-supporters!

We've been working to improve AnimalAwareness and at the moment, are cleaning up the gallery and sorting things out better.

->We've noticed some deviations might have previously been overlooked and do not contain any actual information or helpful descriptions and only vaguely suggest an animal that's endangered/abused (ex: gray wolf drawing/picture)

Images such as these will be removed from the gallery. If you have any questions regarding why your image was removed, please note us :)

Otherwise, a post will be sent out when we finish revamping the group! Thank you for your patience!

Have a good one

-AnimalAwareness staff

The group is till closed for construction, but we will be open soon!
for now stay updated on our social media and journals for more updates :)

LAN: Local Animals in Need

Hello everyone!

We have noticed that a lot of pets are sometimes abandoned or simply can not be taken care of anymore. So, this is what "Local Animals in Need" is for. This will be a place for people to submit their pet in need so other people, who might be interested, can be notified and luckily take them in. ALL TYPES OF PETS WELCOME. Every week or so, ten admissions will be chosen and featured on a Local Animals in Need journal. Please post admissions/forms in the latest LAN journal. There is no guarantee your pet will be chosen by anyone, but with this, there is a higher percentage of people who are notified.

Since this is a pre-journal for LAN issues, please post your admissions here.

ADMISSION/FORM EXPLANATIONS:
* - required

- *Animal Species: ( people need to know what animal they might be adopting)

-* Age: (this is essential to the type of care the new owner may need to provide. Young ones require different amount of needs than older ones.)

-Gender: (some people would like to know if they are female or male)

-Picture (preferred): (so the possible owner can know what they look like)

-*General Area of where you are: (no need for an exact address on here, more like City, State, Country so the new owner knows if they are near you. Someone in China can't possibly adopt a pet if they are in the US. )

-*Contact Information: (if someone is interested, they need a way to notify you)

-*Situation of the Animal in Need: (Moving away? Not enough money to support him/her? Might get put down if not adopted? etc )

-*Health: (if you don't know or don't find any health issues with your animal please just put "N/A" but it's preferred you get him/her checked and list any the new owner should know about)

-Additional Information: (anything we should know about? Behavioral issues? Weird habits? Etc.)

WARNING/REMINDER:
If the animal is an injured one, please, take it to a vet! This is not for assisting injured animals (because we are not vets or have any medical degrees) and only for pets that are in need of a new home!

Hello! Capu here!

As you may have noticed, we, as the AA staff, have been getting behind on a lot of the feedback, what with the submissions and everything (which btw are still closed for the better part). For that you have my sincerest apologies on everyone's behalf!

We've all been having many personal work that we've been only managing to make time for this not as much as we'd like to.

The problem is with a group as big & still growing as ours, it's become apparent we need more staff to help out.
You have to be reasonably active (not coming on once every few months etc), and as for the rest, that's listed below.

-------------------
How we work: I want to make sure this is all very thorough as I wouldn't want anyone to jump into any responsibility without knowing the full deal! :aww:
~
-Our cause and group is a team effort and we have select roles assigned to everybody. Everyone in the AA staff gets at least one role, of your choice preferably. (first come first serve) Depending on what you want to be in our staff ranking, there are different responsibilities expected.
-You aren't expected to submit any art on any regular basis or timeline but it would always be appreciated of course! As for now its' just going to be focusing on getting staff work done! :)
:star:-Password confidentiality is a extremely important that sharing this with anyone outside of the AA staff is strictly prohibited. Our passwords are universal and we use them for sites like our Twitter etc. This shouldn't be anything new for anyone but just in case it wasn't clear enough! :)

**Please note if you leave the AA staff, passwords will be changed regardless of any reason anyone might have. We can't risk any hacks. Thank you for understanding!

-And as for anything else, if you have any questions feel free to ask!

---------------------
If you want to find out more about us, feel free to browse our pages, etc, before potentially making the commitment, we're all a family in this and we share one thing in common: Our love for nature and its animals and the effort to help make a difference.

So no pressure at all! If you're an animal lover and supporter than read on for the form! :D
---------------------

Positions: (Rangers have the highest expectancy to be active and contributory, Caretakers less so, and Contributors the least. A quick idea of time expectancy AT the moment is:
Ranger: Check in at least once every other day/few times a week, just to make sure everything's running smoothly.
Caretakers: Once every few days.
Contributors: Once a week.

You can spend anywhere from 10 min to an hour, that's up to you, but we also leave the decision of managing the work up to you! If you see work that's unfinished and you're free, we don't expect you to finish it but that'd be very much appreciated! :D

---------------------

The FORM: *= Mandatory

Please NOTE us!

*Position of Interest:
*Expected Activeness:
*Your background with groups (if any, if none write N/A):
*Why you think you are fit for your position:
*Your personal connection for animals/nature (tell us about how you feel!):
What you think you could help out with in AA:
Your occupation (Artist or Writer/Poet):

It isn't un-allowed to leave the staff once you join but it'd be nice if you could stay! ^-^ So please be expected to be dedicated and cooperative! We're all a family! :D

Thank you!
